Sandstars a sculptural carpet created by Gabriel Orozco which is made up of 1,200 items that he found while at the isla arena, Mexico. The glass bottles are different shapes and sizes and where found drifting in the ocean waters. There are also large pieces of wood that make up the sculptural most of these are wooden oars. Some of the items even had barnacles which go to show you how long they have been under water.

La D.S. 1993
This piece of work was created by taking a Citroën and slicing it into threes, it was then put back together without the middle section. With it being put back together like this it was made into a vehicle for one person.

This piece of work was created from the skeleton of a whale. Gabriel created this piece of art for a library that was being build at the time and they had charged him with making piece of work that they could exhibit to visitors.

Isla en la Isla (Island within an Island) this piece of work was created by Orozco in which he took garbage he found and created the New York skyline shown in the back of his art as the insperation for his work.

Yielding Stone 1992 is work by Gabriel in which he took a plasticine ball the size of his own weight and rolled it down the streets. This imprinted the ball with all the dust and imprints of is journey with the artist.
